Last night I taught my art class and what fun it was! I took some photos to show here. Enjoy!Lubov and Julie worked diligently on their pastel paintings.
This is a beautiful close up of Lubov's painting--look at the depth--all with oil pastels. Gorgeous.
I love this photo of her working away. Photos with art supplies always make me happy. How wonderful that painting looks on her black paper. (See her free Starbucks tea because she voted? Well done, Lubov!)Custom Art Framing's own Julie has had a hankering to try her hand at some creative artwork for a while. Since I started working at the gallery in January, I've heard her hinting a bit at this bubbling creativity wanting to come out in some way.
Yesterday when I invited her to stay for lesson and try her hand at my pastels, she said she would give it a shot.
Here is how her first try at the medium went:Pastels are fun and get your hands dirty. You can see that Julie was having fun while she cleans up.
And here she shows her finished work.
I think it came out great. Her first pastel ever! Can't wait to see it framed up. And to finish, I took a quick video during class with my camera. Here is a 30-second overview of our class setup. You'll agree we have a great classroom at Custom Art Framing & Gallery 9, have a lot of fun at class, and that I do love the look of art supplies.
More information on classes at the gallery can be found here. We'd love to see you at any of the classes we offer if you've had a hankering to give it a try.
